New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) Code of Practice

The New Homes Quality Code is a code of practice from the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) that aims to improve standards and ensure New Home buyers are treated fairly throughout the sales process and beyond. You can check to see if your proposed Builder/Developer is registered by checking the Register of Developers or downloading a copy of the New Homes Quality Code using the buttons below. 

Section 1.7 of the Code States

“Developers may recommend professional advisers to a customer. This includes legal representatives, pre-completion inspectors, financial advisers or mortgage intermediaries. However, developers must make it clear to the customer that they are free to choose their own advisers and do not have to use one they recommended. Developers cannot offer incentives when recommending a professional adviser”.
